a Chinese student came to US and found a part-time job in a restaraunt as a waiter. One day when he was working, a white man came in. The student went up and asked

"Are you lonely?".

Supprised, the white man replied "what?"

Realizing he might have used the wrong word, the student said

"Are you single?"

Feeling being violated, the white man shouted "Are you gay?"
