2014 has said goodbye and 2015 has arrived. One of the best ways to celebrate the achievement of surviving in one piece would be to invite some friends over.
Kids of the 21st century are seriously addicted to the videogames. All the friends I invited, as soon as they walked through the door, were right upstairs to the computer room. We played Minecraft, and I introduced my friends, Devin and Robbie, to a Parkour course I made. I personally never considered myself as an architect, and so I thought the little challenge that I made wasn’t very hard. Apparently I was very, very extremely wrong because one of my buds ragequitted at least 4 times in the first 6-7 jumps. Just saying I wasn’t doing much better, Mom got pizzas from Costco. By that time, two out of five guests had arrived. The pizza tasted good, and so was Robbie at Trivia Crack. He answered many questions, but had the worst luck. In the end, it all came down to luck because he got many hard questions that at one point, he randomly picked one. I, on the other hand, was getting very fortunate. So many easy questions in so little time.
After lunch, Mom had enough of us wasting our eyes and made us go outside. We played soccer, basketball, and football and also my neighbor Derek came over to play for a while, too. At the moment, the last guest Richard finally arrived. My team had a good start with a pick six, but the other kids came back with five straight TDs. After announcing the winner (and me being a sore loser), we all went back inside and watched a movie, Ice Age 2.
It’s rare to have friends come over. When the holiday season is ending, however, I want to keep having fun and stretching to holiday spirit.

2014年已與我們揮手道別，2015年如期而至。對於歷經磨難的倖存者來說，其最佳慶祝方式就是組織朋友聚在一起同歡共樂。
21世紀的少年兒童往往沉迷於視頻遊戲而難以自拔，這次前來聚會的朋友一踏進我家大門，便徑直朝樓上計算機屋奔去。大家玩起“我的世界”，由我先向德文和羅比介紹本人設計的“跑酷”軌跡。我從未把自己當成什麼建築師，因此並不覺得由本人親自設計的遊戲有多難玩，誰知我大錯特錯，因為其中一位朋友前後差不多試跳了六七次，至少四次慘遭失敗，而我玩的也不盡人意。這時，媽媽從好市多買來比薩餅充作午飯，五位朋友中又有兩位已陸續趕到。比薩餅味道不錯；羅比手頭上“破解冷知識”遊戲玩得也挺起勁，雖然他回答的問題不少，但答對的卻不多，而且直到結束始終無法扭轉局面，只好瞎矇一氣。相形之下，我非常走運，沒花多少功夫就給出了答案。
午飯後，媽媽擔心我們視力受影響，號召大家全部到外面去玩。我們踢足球打籃球扔橄欖球，鄰居德里克也跑來湊熱鬧。與此同時，最後一位客人凱傑終於露面。大家兵分兩路較量美式足球，我隊旗開得勝，先以攔截返回觸地得分，但對手們不甘示弱，連續拿下五次達陣。結果趨於明朗以後（我輸得很慘），大家進屋看起電影《冰河時代》第二集。
朋友之間的聚會實在難得，正因如此，即使節日趨於尾聲，我要爭取挽留美好時刻，讓節日精神發揚光大。
