        Today was the season’s final game. And this game was probably the most important of them all. The league had separated itself into two main groups: the 7-2 group, and the not-so-good record group. However, the record doesn’t really say how good a team is. We almost learned that the hard way last game.

        By the way, the last year’s champion came into the playoffs as the last seed.

        However, today was still the regular season. This game was against one of those 7-2ish teams, which was why it was crucial to winning. A side personal goal for me is to actually do something, which is always encouraging. Additionally, today’s match pits us against a team we lost to previously.

        Luckily for us, our opponents only had six members come to this game. This is what happens when you put to the game at four on a Saturday afternoon. Our team this season has been consistently appearing to every game, except a few people like me and others who participate in band and other activities.

        Right from the start, we asserted ourselves as the driver of this game. With a dominating defensive performance in the first quarter, we took a commanding ten-point lead. In the second quarter, the lead grew to nearly twenty. Because we were missing a big man, I had to play center for a quarter. It let me get a good look from the corner, which I knocked down the three. And it was my only three of the game, and the only points I scored on the game. I got a few steals and rebounds, though, which feels nice.

        Early on, the key to success was the press. I felt like the other teams began to beat our press when we played it too long, finding plays to exploit our lack of defenders back or holes in the zone. In this game, because of such a hot start, there was no need to continue pressing the entire game. Plus, when we did press, we forced many turnovers. In fact, in the second quarter, I think we only played defense on our side of the court three or four times. The other moments were spent grabbing steals or trapping their dribblers on their side of the court. When this occurred, many easy lay-ups were created, and hence the large difference on the score-board.

        Things started to turn around near the end of the third quarter. The opposing team began to hit threes, and our offense was not doing anything at all. But by then, things really didn’t matter. At the end of the fourth, we still came out on top by ten, so the win felt convincing.

        The more important fact is that our team now is probably the top seed in the upcoming playoff bracket. Obviously, I’m not a hundred percent sure, but there is a large chance of being the number one seed. In that case, I hope that we don’t choke like the Golden State Warriors.

        今天是本赛季最后一场比赛，当该算成最为重要的球技较量。组委会将各队划分为两组：七胜二负组与成绩平平组，然而积分并非说明真正实力，从上场比赛中我们充分体会到这一点。

        顺便提一句，去年的冠军出自季后赛排名垫底的种子队。

        不过今天仍为常规赛，因为迎战的对手是一支七胜二负队，所以拿下这场比赛至关重要，我个人也想做点贡献，争取为集体争光，要知道今天披甲上阵的正是我们以前曾经输过的一支球队。

        侥幸的是对方仅有六人到场，比赛定于周六下午四点钟，出勤率可想而知。本赛季中除了我本人和其他个别球员因为乐队及其它活动缺席之外，我队参赛人数始终保持稳定。

        比赛一开始我们就掌握主动，第一节防守严密，以十分优势领先；第二节又将比分差拉开近廿分之多。因为队里大个子未到，我被赶鸭子上架挑起中锋重任，结果愣让我乘机从边角发炮歪打正着投进了三分球，该场比赛中我只投中这么一个三分球，所得分数仅此三分而已，我还断过几次球，抢到几个篮板球，自我感觉不错。

        这场比赛我队靠紧逼先声夺人，后来发觉对方开始适应了这种打法，试图从防守空当或禁区漏洞上钻我们的空子。由于开场不久我们便以大比分领先，因此没再继续全场紧逼；另外，每当我们采用紧逼战术难免出现失误。其实在第二节中，我队仅仅回到自己的半场防守三至四次，其它时间留守在对方球场要么断球要么夹击传球，这种打法一旦奏效，很多球轻松送进篮筐，记分板上的分数就有了明显差异。

        当比赛差不多进行到第三节结束时，战势开始发生变化，对方着手投射三分球，我队进攻陷入被动局面，但那时大势已去，直至第四节结束，我队始终领先十分，可以说胜券在握。

        值得一提的是，如今我队或许成为接下来进行的季后赛中头号种子队，当然我还没有百分之一百的把握，不过极有可能排名第一，如果真是这样，我希望本队千万别像金州勇士队那样把即将到手的冠军给嘚瑟丢了。
