威尔士人•史蒂文斯(1879生—1955卒)

                不久，手鼓敲起，

                拜占庭侍从走了进来。

                她们想知道为什么百合呵斥

                身边的长者；

                她们低语，那迭句

                像被雨水清洗的柳树。

                很快地，她们的灯焰升起，

                照着百合与她的愧疚。

                接着，痴笑的拜占庭婢女
