THERE IS AN URGENT AND CATASTROPHIC HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY IN PAKISTAN RIGHT NOW.

Heavy torrential monsoon rains, up to 28 times more than the average monthly rainfall, have resulted in urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) across Pakistan, particularly affecting Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sindh Provinces.
To date, the Pakistan National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported that it has affected over 30 million people across the country, the majority of them displaced after their homes were damaged by heavy rains.
The floods have currently resulted in over 1,500 deaths, with over 1,600 people also injured and over 700,000 animals also lost. It has also partially or completely destroyed over: one million homes; 3.6 million acres of crops; 200 shops; 800 schools (600 in Balochistan alone); 150 bridges and 2,000 miles of roads.
Ehsaas is on the ground in Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh and is helping as many families as possible with an emergency Tent, Mosquito Nets and a Month’s Rations. It is also providing Cooked Meals, Medicines and Restoration of Homes.
