Aquarius Horoscope for May 2016

This could be a wonderful month for news about your home and family matters. No what your plans happen to be, you will have outstanding help from a sweet little convention of planets lining up in your fourth house of home.
News will start to arrive the moment the new moon of May 6 in Taurus, 17 degrees, appears along with her entourage of the mighty Sun, and graceful and news-oriented Mercury. If you are moving or decorating, you will have all the help you need from these encouraging planets to create a lovely effect. You can, alternatively, look for a new roommate or call in the painters to give several rooms a fresh coat of paint. It's best not to hire a decorator now, as you might not like the designs, and that will take more time and money to get things right. When Mercury is retrograde, new information usually comes up later, and looking back you will wish you had not rushed forward, but had taken your time.
The reason I feel this new moon is special, and urge you to find ways to work with it, is because Jupiter will be in the ideal angle to that new moon, encouraging you to look for a mortgage or refinancing plan if you need one, as you are likely to get offered an excellent deal from the bank. Pluto, the planet of transformations, will be in fine angle to the new moon too, suggesting that if you want to plan for structural changes, such as to put up a wall or take one down (with the full knowledge and agreement of your landlord) or to add an addition on your house, the final effect would please you. Jupiter and Pluto are both financial planets, so that will help you get the money you need to start your project. Neptune is in your second house of earned income, and is also friendly - your chart keeps showing that when it comes to money, you can find it if you need it. Again, go slowly.
All these heavenly bodies will be found in Taurus, a very sensuous sign, known for elegant taste and a love for soft, muted hues and soft textures. This sign will have you thinking long term in a practical way - you may be drawn to neutrals and quality pieces that will stand the test of time. Good idea. Taurus adores flowers, shrubs, and trees, so you might be working on the land surrounding your property. If you live in an apartment, you may find ways to bring in flowering plants or a tree. One of the best home-related activities you could do this month would be to make needed home repairs or to do a thorough house cleaning. Send out the carpets, have the windows washed, repair the roof, and clean out closets or the garage. You'll feel like a million dollars when it is done, and the planets will help you every step of the way.
I say that doing maintenance would be a good idea for you to do on your house or apartment because you'll have to proceed slowly on your home-related plans. Mercury will be retrograde, a trend that started April 28 and will extend to May 22. Mars is retrograde too, along with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto - five out of eight planets retrograde. In a case like this, you can have talks, browse stores and spaces, and gather information. Don't buy expensive furniture, and you must not buy electronic items, such as a computer, iPad, smart phone, smart flat screen TV, Dr. Dre headphones, or other things like that.
This would not be the time to sign a lease or close on a house or condo. Still, you can browse listings and conduct talks - ask many questions - but do not finish the deal. If you HAVE to sign this month prior to May 22 when Mercury goes direct, then do, but realize there will be changes later. Sometimes we are forced into these situations. Signing a rental lease is one thing, but closing on a house, which is a far more expensive proposition, with many heavy obligations attached - I won't advise you to buy a house with Mercury retrograde. Problems may come up immediately, at the closing or later. If you have taken on the care of an elderly relative, say, to supervise a companion who may live with your mother, or to help your father find a new doctor, you will find answers this month.
Going back to the past will be helpful and a good way to deal with these retrograde planets. For example, you might want to bid on the same house that you did previously if last time your bid was not accepted - this time, with a bit of an adjustment, your bid might be. If a contractor did not do the job quite right, and you always think about it, ask him back, work out a fee for him, and have it done again, the right way.
On May 9, Jupiter will go direct, so little by little life will brighten. Jupiter is the giver of gifts and luck, and is currently in your house of other people's money, called the eighth house. This is the area of the chart where big dreams are funded - when we want to go to college, have a wedding or give birth to a baby, buy a house, or move across the country. Big lifestyle changes require cash, and you have some of the best aspects for large - even huge - amounts of money to come in to you. When I write to you, dear Aquarius, realize I look at truly big trends, not baby ones, so you should readily see that the middle of 2015 to early September 2016 would turn out to be fantastic for generating the money you need to give you the green light on your dream.
May 10 will be another sparkling day, when Venus in Taurus will receive vibrations from Jupiter in Virgo. You may receive a gift from an in-law or relative based at a distance. You may give a gorgeous party at home at this time, or over the preceding weekend, May 7-8, or the following weekend, due to be even better, May 14-15, when the transiting moon will link to happy-go-lucky Jupiter. This month would be ideal for travel too, if you can fit it all in!
In terms of your career, things appear to be bubbling up and will soon thrill you. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will be in ideal angle to Pluto all month, for they are moving to a perfect mathematical aspect June 26. These two planets are big "outer" planets that spin on the outer edge of our solar system, and hence, they move very slowly. This means they are in mathematical significance already now, in May. Pluto rules your tenth house of fame and honors, so you may get the offer of your dreams at some point. This offer may have to wait for Mars, poised to re-enter your tenth house of fame and honors on May 27 to stay until August 2. You have plenty of activity in this house to see something happen. Each day when you go to the office, or when visiting clients, look your best, every inch the boss of that top job you are eyeing. It may be coming sooner than you think, dear Aquarius.
The good life keeps on rolling for you, for the full moon on May 21 will be in Sagittarius, 1 degree, and light your eleventh house of events / friendships / fun. You may be going to a friend's wedding, or other celebration, and if so, you will be so glad you attended. This wedding would be beautiful in every respect.
If your birthday falls on January 21, plus or minus five days, you will enjoy this full moon very much - more than some of your friends who are Aquarius but born at different times of the sign. You would enjoy this full moon, too, if you know you have Aquarius rising 1 degree, or have a natal planet at 1 degree of Aquarius, Gemini, or Libra, or Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius - give a plus or minus five degrees from the 1 degree noted, in all cases (planet or rising sign).
Romantically, once Venus moves into Gemini, you will be happy as a little clam, as Venus in Gemini is one of the very best places for Venus to be to shower you with rose petals of love. Gemini is found on the solar cusp of your house of true love. The Sun will move into this same house several days earlier, to bring his warmth and glow, and by early next month, the new moon will come too. Feather your nest, dear Aquarius, and invite love in. It's coming very soon!

Without Mars' help, you will have to do the heavy lifting by yourself if you plan to introduce a new product or service. Don't do it now, for sure. Everyone is in the same boat, so if your competitors do introduce their product, don't fear, you can always stand by the window (or read the paper) and watch the project crash and burn.
Your career is about to become very active, and you may be in line for a major promotion or job offer. It may come from someone you used to work with - perhaps your former boss who was always impressed with your performance. Now that she's in a new position, she may call and ask you to come along too. This may be the break you've awaited. Look for this theme to surface once Mars tours Scorpio from May 27 to August 2.

Keep in mind that when you mix and mingle more than usual with friends, and Mars is involved, you can have disagreements. This is normal. If a friend is about to be critical of you, it will happen at the full moon, May 21. A full moon and Mars will always work together to cleanse and reveal hidden conditions. Venus in Gemini will help smooth the path to keep the relationship intact, if it is important to you. Mercury, the planet governing communication, will go direct, having been retrograde since April 28, on May 22. Mercury acts in it most wild way at the start and end of its retrograde phase, so go the extra mile to be sure what you say, and what you hear, is accurate. It may be that you are attempting to solve a situation you had with a friend from the past - with several planets in retrograde; this would be a good time to clear the air.
