直到這個聖誕節重訪母校時，偶一直還不太清楚伊薩卡地名的含義。隱隱只覺得與神話
有關。到準備提筆寫下點什麼時，才臨時抱佛腳做一番調查研究，終於對古希臘文明中
的人物地名有所了解。

偶為啥會寫《重歸伊薩卡》系列？主要的原因是想，該給過去生命這一章畫個句號了。
這不光是一次對歷險和經驗的圓滿總結，也是從新的高度認識過去和現在，更是為未來
新的旅程甩下包袱輕裝前進。

這第三部分最難寫，被自己的敵人打倒，確實不堪回首，尤其其中大部分是在當年的米
國出差途中寫成的。現在三篇全都作了修改，終稿放在如下網址：

偶儘管投入不少休息時間，但很高興能完成（自認為：））這個系列。如果它居然也能
給漂泊奮鬥中的朋友們一點點啟示和幫助，那偶當然會樂得“睡覺都會笑醒”地。；）

"Ithaca"

As you set out for Ithaca
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon -- don't be afraid of them:
you'll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope the voyage is a long one.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind --
as many sensual perfumes as you can,
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to gather stores of knowledge from their scholars.

Keep Ithaca always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you are destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you are old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaca to make you rich.

Ithaca gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her, you would not have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.

And if you find her poor, Ithaca won't have [deceived] you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you will have understood by then what these Ithacas mean.
