Genuine humility is not contaminated with fear and self-loathing like Jenny’s brand of humility.

Genuine humility is really hard to find because it involves intentionally charting a path (or taking a seat, if you will), guided by Godly wisdom, that puts my needs, my wants, my OPINIONS – below that of others. It takes WAY more strength to follow that humble path and let our King exalt us when and how HE sees fit.

Jenny doesn’t like hardly anything about her life – but at least she feels like she’s good at being humble.

Sorry Jenny, you’re not plotting a course of wisdom and strength to walk.

You’re just tearing yourself down and despising what God has given you, and who He’s made you. You invite everyone else to join in beating you down – that’s not genuine humility.
