荷塘
萬綠爭湖擁一粉，蟬嘶亂耳暫歇箏。
鴉平鴨仄風不管，閒蕩垂條飛半空。

The Lotus Pond

I focus in the lake on a leaves overlaid pretty pink fay,

Being disturbed by Screaming cicadas and stop my harp's play. 

The wind cares nothing about the poetry cadence of scholars’ rhythm,

Blowing the willow twigs swinging in the sky to spend its leasure time.
