十二年前為論文作資料搜集而初訪中國，紀錄一群長者各自口述的時代見證。近聞其中幾位已先後病逝，難過之餘，願獻小詩致悼致意。

春到雞窗燕任啼

啁啾勤讚竹簷低
五更暗覺人間曉
一夜明知夢裡迷
回首上朝懷古鏡
揚眉下野掌新犂
京華本是衣冠塚
山水相看物我齊

A wake-up call is music to my ears,

What dawns on me isn’t a bright world, however.

Maybe I just have tunnel vision.

having survived an era of derision.

to count on human conscience?

Well, honest labor is all I count on now,
having a sweaty day ahead.
Farming tools are my best silent buddies 
when and where human voice is sold for bread.
