試英譯七分兒大作【惜黃花慢】醒後人間春老

半窗初曉，細雨淺淺瀅，新妝叢筱。

Early dawn says hello

through ajar window.

Light rain drops look so limpid.

Baby bamboo grove puts on new outfit.

幾處魚歡，水中蕩漾蓮心，灩灩湖波飄淼。
Fishes have funs here and there.

Ripples shake lotus leafs amid the pond.

Ethereal waves flare,

spreading far and beyond.

眼追蝶影舞離離，嫵媚動，南枝初俏。

Dancing elegantly there are butterflies

that make my eyes together fly.

Glamorously trembling,

branches on the south side turn appealing.

野煙淨，立遍舊園，青染紅繞。

Mist has been cleared above the open land.
At all corners of the yard I stop and stand.

This is my beloved bygone garden.

It brings all colors of the season.

檀床繾綣飛香，雲雨夢，醒後人間春老。

The rosewood bed emits fragrant scent.

It has witnessed our affection events.

I live in the dream, nights and days,

that is knitted by intimate plays.

Upon awakening from the past

I just find the world age fast.

一枕清涼，自君折柳相別，欲訴斷腸難了。

As cold as stone now is the pillow

ever since you bent a branch of willow.

After this moment of your leave,

who can I talk to and relieve my grief?

詩成欲寄總無憑，酒空病，絲絲魂杳。

This poem is coming to an end.

But where and why should I have it sent?

Beside me are empty cups.

Liquor does not hold me up.

Floating away thread by thread,

my soul is as powerless as dead.

清月照，只願客鄉猶好。

Staring at the moon like clear water,

I merely wish you well wherever you wander.
