风促五月蕾,日出夏结短;

William Shakespeare   Sonnet XVIII

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owe’st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow‘st:

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

1)                  summer’s lease 这里是比喻lease of life: a chance to live or last longer

2)                  By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed;

But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owe’st;

When in eternal lines to time thou grow‘st:

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,

春宵苦短,租赁只在片时 ;

3 原文 that fair thou owest 应当解读为that beauty thou possessest,即你所具有的美。

4 原词 growest 此处应解读为 becomes a part of。

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
 So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
 So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
