Three Takeaways:

1. Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs) play a key role in ruling the waves around the globe. Each and every CSG has an aircraft carrier as its center, with an offensive strike capability difficult to match.

2. Amphibious Ready Groups (ARGs) are the long arms of the US Marine Corps. Each and every ARG has three amphibious warfare ships as its center, with a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) being ready to effectively respond to any crisis at short notice. 

3. Noticeably and notably, the US naval battle force is still more focused on the Western Pacific where China is, despite the ongoing Ukraine crisis in Eastern Europe.
