Please read thoroughly on Lang's lectures. Lang don't directly criticize on China's "General Control" on economics (or finance), but once and again he singles out the government's deficiencies and problems on the subject,then he brings out his own remedy. Isn't this a way of disapproval?

Not one or two of Lang's articles does that but almost all. A known scholar would not directly oppose or approve a topic, but he will do it indirectly or mildly.
