"JESUS GAVE HIMSELF TO ME" is not some word that is 热恋中的小妇人在呢语! The sentence was quoted daily on every christian church! Jesus sacrificed himself to every one, every sinner, including you. That is how this line "Jesus gave himself to me" means!

Just because He gave himself the body of son of G-d to everyone of us, that everyone of us is redeemed, that our sin are forgiven.

If you want to attack something, better get it straight before open up. It is common in church's preaching that "we come across with Jesus". It is not something related with S-ex as you imagine!

Also, when someone claim that his faith is dry, it is not a bad thing. It is better than not admiting it. The truth will be then how to handle it. One need to go back to G-d and ask for more love.

Only the true love from above can it fulfill our heart forever. A good christian will need to admit the weakness of himself and ask for forgiveness.
