Most presidents want to become dictators. It’s just fallen human nature. It’s the job of congress to push back.
As for Iraq, I think Obama is just playing smart. Most Americans (>70%) don’t want to stay there. And it’s a good political weapon. It’s not smart to go against public opinion in a democracy. “Delivery empty promise” is politics 101 for any politician. As for Iraq situation: The depressing US economy may force American withdraw. God works in mysterious ways! |
