啟示錄裡面，就是用魂指代死去信徒的靈的。

6:9 揭開第五印的時候，我看見在祭壇底下，有為神的道，並為作見證，被殺之人的靈魂。
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

20:4 我又看見幾個寶座，也有坐在上面的，並有審判的權柄賜給他們。我又看見那些因為給耶穌作見證，並為神之道被斬者的靈魂和那沒有拜過獸像，也沒有在額上和手上受過他印記之人的靈魂，他們都復活了，與基督一同作王一千年。
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

為什麼用魂指代靈呢? 類比一下，就知道了

我們知道魔鬼，或鬼都是靈，天使也是靈，神也是靈。可是為什麼又叫鬼或鬼魂，天使，神呢?

很明顯，那是加以區分嘛。

一般說來，人的靈當人活着的時候，就叫靈。但是當死去的時候，叫魂的時候比較多。注意: 這不是絕對的，好多時候靈魂互用。

耶穌復活後怎麼說的?

24:39 你們看我的手，我的腳，就知道實在是我了。摸我看看。魂無骨無肉，你們看我是有的。
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.    

這裡魂，原文是,pneuma就是靈的意思。 聖靈又稱為Holy Ghost。可見叫法不同，不影響實質。
