彼得後書1
4因此他已將又寶貴又極大的應許賜給我們，叫我們既脫離世上從情慾來的敗壞，就得與神的性情有分。 
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

11這樣，必叫你們豐豐富富地，得以進入我們主救主耶穌基督永遠的國。 
and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

彼得書信所講應許都是基督再來拯救的應許，因此信徒脫離世上是真正的脫離世上，即死後復活的榮耀。即進入基督永遠的國，即父神的天國，那時父與子同坐寶座掌權為王！基督有肉身降世地上的中保國，也有靈升天后與父同掌權的天國，此天國包括了後來加入的地上國。見啟示錄 - 第 11 章 第 15 節 第七位天使吹號，天上就有大聲音說，世上的國，成了我主和主基督的國。他要作王，直到永永遠遠。The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

16我們從前，將我們主耶穌基督的大能，和他降臨的事，告訴你們，並不是隨從乖巧捏造的虛言，乃是親眼見過他的威榮。 
We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17他從父神得尊貴榮耀的時候，從極大榮光之中，有聲音出來向他說，這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。 
For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
18我們同他在聖山的時候，親自聽見這聲音從天上出來。 
We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

這是彼得親自見證耶穌登上變像時與父神同在的天國異象，見太17，可9和路9的記載。彼得認為他所見的異象是耶穌復活升天后在天國受到父神賜予他尊貴榮耀的異象（he received honor and glory from God the Father）

彼得後書2

1從前在百姓中有假先知起來，將來在你們中間，也必有假師傅，私自引進陷害人的異端，連買他們的主他們也不承認，自取速速地滅亡。 
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2將有許多人隨從他們邪淫的行為，便叫真道，因他們的緣故被毀謗。 
Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
3他們因有貪心，要用捏造的言語，在你們身上取利。他們的刑罰，自古以來並不遲延，他們的滅亡也必速速來到（原文作也不打盹）。 
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4就是天使犯了罪，神也沒有寬容，曾把他們丟在地獄，交在黑暗坑中，等候審判。For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;5神也沒有寬容上古的世代，曾叫洪水臨到那不敬虔的世代，卻保護了傳義道的挪亞一家八口。 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;

11就是天使，雖然力量權能更大，還不用毀謗的話在主面前告他們。 
Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings; yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord.

13行的不義，就得了不義的工價。這些人喜愛白晝宴樂，他們已被玷污，又有瑕疵，正與你們一同坐席，就以自己的詭詐為快樂。They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.

彼得認為的將來出現的假師傅是被主耶穌贖買的，後來隨從私慾成為不敬虔的信徒，雖然知道義卻走不義的路的信徒，因行的不義，就得了不義的工價。彼得兩次把這些人和天使比較，即原本是算做無罪的人。

19他們應許人得以自由，自己卻作敗壞的奴仆。因為人被誰制伏就是誰的奴僕。 
They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.
20倘若他們因認識主救主耶穌基督，得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又在其中被纏住制伏，他們末後的景況，就比先前更不好了。 
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
21他們曉得義路，竟背棄了傳給他們的聖命，倒不如不曉得為妙。 
It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.
22俗語說得真不錯，狗所吐的，它轉過來又吃。豬洗淨了，又回到泥里去滾。這話在他們身上正合式。 
Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."

彼得認為的假師傅曉得義路，但背棄了傳給他們的聖命，自己作了罪的奴仆。可見，彼得認為的假師傅並不是魔鬼撒的稗子， 而是離棄真道的基督徒。這就徹底否定信徒一信就靈、信徒不失信不失喪（救恩不失落）的謬論！泥髒豬洗淨了，又回到里去滾！這是多麼形像的信徒的再次失喪啊！
