Let's be a critical thinker here.

Could Lin have confidence that God was really like his mom in dealing with a rebellious child? Could he presuppose a loving God who would never send anyone to a place without hope and life? Did he really know the supreme justice of God?

People deceive themselves with an improper analogy first and then conclude that God should (not) do this or that.

God is infinitely more than our mom or dad in his sacrificial love. After all, he is the creator and very source of life. In him we have our being. He is also our redeemer through his Son Jesus Christ. His love is beyond dispute.

God is also infinitely more than any judge in this world. He will mete out justice that is consistent with his own law and our transgressions. No one can do that since no one is all knowing and all just like God.

Any analogy and comparison of God with a human agent fail to capture the immensity of God's love and justice.

Now let's turn the table:

If an all loving God has given us life and sacrificed his Son to save us, isn't it abundantly clear that our only proper response is to return to God and love God in gratitude?

If an all holy and just God will mete out supreme justice to unrepentant sinners, isn't it also abundantly clear that our only proper response is to repent fast and return to God's love?

So, in light of these utterly incredible revelations from God, how can anyone dare to reject God's love and choose to go to hell? If anyone so chooses, that already proves beyond a shadow of doubt that that person deserves to go there.

After all, why would anyone in his right mind think that one can reject the very source of life and still expect life from God?

Hell is a lake of fire that will have to be set up that way since any sinners and all fallen angels, when completely devoid of the glory of God, must be put under that kind of constraint so that they will not harm each other. In this light, God still reserves his last bit of love to the sinners, even in hell. Never forget that the eternal fire is endurable for them, since all sinners there will have a new body that will never corrupt, unlike the earthly body.
