神改變了亞伯拉罕的心意，使他更明白神。我願讓神改變我的心意嗎？
18:20-33　亞伯拉罕改變了神的心意嗎？當然沒有。其實是神改變了亞伯拉罕的心意。亞伯拉罕知道神是公義的，並且要刑罰罪，但他有可能懷疑神的慈愛。他似乎想探測神的心意，要知道他究竟有多少憐憫。他與神交談後，相信他是慈愛公義的。我們的禱告不會改變神的心意，但是可以幫助我們明白他的心意，並改變我們的心意。

看見神施行審判，心總帶有疑惑──神對所多瑪的人不公平嗎？他真想把義人跟惡人一同除滅？
18:25　正好相反，這裡顯出他的公平：（1）他同意為了城裡十個義人而赦免全城；（2）他對羅得──全城中惟一一個跟他有關係的人非常憐憫；（3）他對羅得顯出極大的耐心，在毀滅所多瑪前，幾乎是強行將他拖走（參19:16）。當你想神是不公平的時候，要記得神的忍耐。即使最敬虔的人都該受神公義的審判。我們應當慶幸，因為神沒有像刑罰所多瑪那樣審判我們。

神按他的心意來垂聽祈禱，可是我心所想所欲求的，實在期望他會應允……
18:33　神向亞伯拉罕表示，他可以向他祈求任何的事，但須明白，神將按照自己的旨意來回答。我們所求的往往與神的答覆有出入。只有神知道事情的全部，你是否因神的答覆與自己期望不符而忽略了神答允你的禱告呢？

亞伯拉罕向神討價還價（18：22－33）
7. 兩個天使去了所多瑪，而亞伯拉罕和耶和華繼續他們的討論
（18：22）。神允許亞伯拉罕質問他的公義，亞伯拉罕知羅
得及其眷屬都在所多瑪，就問神在剿滅惡人的同時剿滅在所
多瑪的義人是否公義。亞伯拉罕為義人的緣故向主求情
（18：23）。

8. 亞伯拉罕的話語和請求是令人不可思議的，但他是誠懇而又
謙卑的，因而得到了神的悅納（見18：27，30，32）。亞伯
拉罕的論點的基本可以從18：25看到：
“將義人與惡人同殺，將義人與惡人一樣看待，這
斷不是你所行的。審判全地的主，豈不行公義
麼？”
神的應許是：他公正地對待每一個人，審判時從來不是按人
與人相比作標準，而是以神自己為標準（見結18章）。不加
區別地將義人和惡人一同除滅不合乎神的品性。

9. 亞伯拉罕對能在那邪惡的城裡找到一群義人的信心並不大，
因為他從50人一點一點地縮小到10人（18：26－32）。這
段對話的目的是為了亞伯拉罕而非神，因為神不願毀滅惡人
的心意不比他不願毀滅義人的心少（結18：23）。而且神同
意：如果亞伯拉罕能夠找到十個義人，也會保全這城（18：
32）。說完話亞伯拉罕和神就各自回家（18：33）。
