－ 前25大教派里，有3个是五旬节派（灵恩派？），6个非洲裔教派。

－ 增长最迅速的是摩门（Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints），希腊东正教（Greek Orthodox Church），美国东正教会（Orthodox Church in America），耶和华见证人（Jehovah’s Witnesses）。

－ 规模最大的依然是天主教（Roman Catholic Church）。增长率1.28％。

－ 南方浸信会（Southern Baptist Convention）老二，增长率1.18％。

－ 卫理公会（United Methodist Church）虽然第三，增长率仅有0.002％。

－ 摩门排名从第五升到第四。1.71％增长率。

－ 东正教美国教会（Orthodox Church in America）猛增11.11％。

－ 人数上升的包括：Assemblies of God（1.57％），the Episcopal Church（0.57%），the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church（0.14％），耶和华见证人（Jehovah’s Witnesses，1.82％）。

－ 人数下降的包括：路德会（Evangelical Lutheran Church in America，－1.05％），长老会（the Presbyterian Church，－4.87％），The Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod，－0.95％），American Baptist Churches in the USA（－3.45％），联合教会（United Church of Christ，－2.58％）。

－ 2005年全球共有6,453,628,000人口，其中33.1％自称基督徒。预测到2025年这个数字会到33.6％。

－ 主流新教教派（mainline Protestants）全球布道宣教工作在最近1/4个世纪里头一次增长，派出宣道士比1966年净增600。

－ 全世界范围，罗马天主教居首，1,118,992,000人；没派的独立教会（Independents）其次，375,814,000人；新教第三，219,501,000；英国国教第四，79,710,000；边缘教派34,150,000人。
