教会神化论应该摈弃！——咔嚓因信称义的马丁路得、三一神的奥古斯丁等古圣贤
受恩典帮助的人不再仅仅是人而已；神的恩典赐予他神的形像并神化了他，以致圣经也称他为『神』和『神的儿子』。

正如神的话成了肉身，所以肉身成为话也是必须的。话成了肉身，正是为了叫肉身能成为话。换言之，神成为人，为叫人成为神。所以，刚强的成为软弱的，为叫软弱的能成为刚强的。话穿上了我们的形像和样式。

（即“神化”，英文Deification、希腊文Theosis）
今天传统基督教相信的《亚他拿修信经》，相传出自他的手笔。
他因自己多次的放逐经验，著《安东尼传》，对基督徒的修道主义有深远影响。
他在《致马尔克路书》中藉（诗篇）“找到自己的生活经验和感情影子”成为个人灵修生活的见证。
他在《道成肉身》，以“基督成为人，为教我们得成圣”为他基本观点，并对“三位一体”教义，贡献良多。
下面是亚他那修陈述的“神化”
the Word was made flesh, not only to offer up this body for all, but that we partaking of his Spirit, might be deified, a gift which we could not otherwise have gained than by his clothing himself in our created body; for hence we derive our name of 'man of God' and 'man of Christ'. And as we by receiving the Spirit, do not lose our own proper substance, so the Lord when made man for us, and bearing a body, was no less God; for he was not lessened by the envelopment of the body, but rather deified it and rendered it immortal.
“道成肉身”（约翰1：14）的目的乃是要叫他为所有的人所献（为祭），好叫我们这些领受祂（圣）灵（Spirit）的人能够被神化（divinized）。除非借由祂穿上我们受造的身体，我们无法得到这个恩典。所以，我们得以被称为“（属）神的子民”和“在基督里的人”。正如我们接受（圣）灵（Spirit）的人，并没有失去我们本身的性质（idian ousian，指人性），所以主为了我们的缘故成为一个人，披上了一个身体，并不比神（God，大写，独一的真神）小一样。祂（He, 大写，指神的儿子）并不因为被身体遮藏而降卑，反而使它神化（deified）并使它不朽。

The grace of God came to you and ‘gave you the power to become the sons of God’ (John 1:12). Hear the voice of my Father saying, ‘I have said, you are gods and all of you children of the Most High’ (Ps. 82:6).
