The Christian doctrine about mankind is pecular in that: our existence is an embodied one. While God is spirit, man is embodied spiritual being. We have a physical body in this life. We shall have a resurrected new body in the next life. We are an embodied existence for sure.

When we imagine what we may feel like in heaven, we are not experiencing something out of body. We are feeling within the confine of our new body. We gain an identity because of our bodily existence.

While we feel pain and joy and bitterness in this life, we are told that there will be no pain or tears or suffering or death. It is a brand new existence.

Perhaps the joy unspeakable that motral man wished to have climbed over will be sustained on a spiritual plateau in the heavenly realm.

How marvelous for us to just ponder upon that new reality, by taking the wings of imaingation from the runway of our earthly experience!
