神改变了亚伯拉罕的心意，使他更明白神。我愿让神改变我的心意吗？
18:20-33　亚伯拉罕改变了神的心意吗？当然没有。其实是神改变了亚伯拉罕的心意。亚伯拉罕知道神是公义的，并且要刑罚罪，但他有可能怀疑神的慈爱。他似乎想探测神的心意，要知道他究竟有多少怜悯。他与神交谈后，相信他是慈爱公义的。我们的祷告不会改变神的心意，但是可以帮助我们明白他的心意，并改变我们的心意。

神为甚么容许亚伯拉罕怀疑他的公义、并为罪恶的城市求情？
18:20-33　亚伯拉罕知道神一定刑罚罪恶，但是他也知道神对罪人是满有怜悯的。神知道在所多玛城里不会有十个义人，但是他满有慈爱，让亚伯拉罕为那座城求情，甚至帮助亚伯拉罕的侄儿罗得逃出所多玛，然后才将那城毁灭。神不是以毁灭恶人为乐，但他必要消灭罪恶。神既公义又有怜悯，我们要因他的慈爱临到我们而感谢他。

看见神施行审判，心总带有疑惑──神对所多玛的人不公平吗？他真想把义人跟恶人一同除灭？
18:25　正好相反，这里显出他的公平：（1）他同意为了城里十个义人而赦免全城；（2）他对罗得──全城中惟一一个跟他有关系的人非常怜悯；（3）他对罗得显出极大的耐心，在毁灭所多玛前，几乎是强行将他拖走（参19:16）。当你想神是不公平的时候，要记得神的忍耐。即使最敬虔的人都该受神公义的审判。我们应当庆幸，因为神没有像刑罚所多玛那样审判我们。

神按他的心意来垂听祈祷，可是我心所想所欲求的，实在期望他会应允……
18:33　神向亚伯拉罕表示，他可以向他祈求任何的事，但须明白，神将按照自己的旨意来回答。我们所求的往往与神的答覆有出入。只有神知道事情的全部，你是否因神的答覆与自己期望不符而忽略了神答允你的祷告呢？

亚伯拉罕向神讨价还价（18：22－33）
7. 两个天使去了所多玛，而亚伯拉罕和耶和华继续他们的讨论
（18：22）。神允许亚伯拉罕质问他的公义，亚伯拉罕知罗
得及其眷属都在所多玛，就问神在剿灭恶人的同时剿灭在所
多玛的义人是否公义。亚伯拉罕为义人的缘故向主求情
（18：23）。

8. 亚伯拉罕的话语和请求是令人不可思议的，但他是诚恳而又
谦卑的，因而得到了神的悦纳（见18：27，30，32）。亚伯
拉罕的论点的基本可以从18：25看到：
“将义人与恶人同杀，将义人与恶人一样看待，这
断不是你所行的。审判全地的主，岂不行公义
么？”
神的应许是：他公正地对待每一个人，审判时从来不是按人
与人相比作标准，而是以神自己为标准（见结18章）。不加
区别地将义人和恶人一同除灭不合乎神的品性。

9. 亚伯拉罕对能在那邪恶的城里找到一群义人的信心并不大，
因为他从50人一点一点地缩小到10人（18：26－32）。这
段对话的目的是为了亚伯拉罕而非神，因为神不愿毁灭恶人
的心意不比他不愿毁灭义人的心少（结18：23）。而且神同
意：如果亚伯拉罕能够找到十个义人，也会保全这城（18：
32）。说完话亚伯拉罕和神就各自回家（18：33）。
