19:9 众人说：“退去吧！”又说：“这个人来寄居，还想要作官哪！现在我们要害你比害他们更甚。”众人就向前拥挤罗得，要攻破房门。
19:10 只是那二人伸出手来，将罗得拉进屋去，把门关上，
19:11 并且使门外的人，无论老少，眼都昏迷；他们摸来摸去，总寻不著房门。
19:12 二人对罗得说：“你这里还有甚么人吗？无论是女婿，是儿女和这城中一切属你的人，你都要将他们从这地方带出去。
19:13 我们要毁灭这地方，因为城内罪恶的声音在耶和华面前甚大，耶和华差我们来，要毁灭这地方。”
19:14 罗得就出去，告诉娶了他女儿的女婿们（注：“娶了”或作“将要娶”），说：“你们起来离开这地方，因为耶和华要毁灭这城。”他女婿们却以为他说的是戏言。
19:15 天明了，天使催逼罗得说：“起来！带著你的妻子和你在这里的两个女儿出去，免得你因这城里的罪恶同被剿灭。”
19:16 但罗得迟延不走。二人因为耶和华怜恤罗得，就拉著他的手和他妻子的手，并他两个女儿的手，把他们领出来，安置在城外；

19:21 天使对他说：“这事我也应允你，我不倾覆你所说的这城。
19:22 你要速速地逃到那城，因为你还没有到那里，我不能做甚么。”因此那城名叫琐珥（注：就是“小”的意思）。

拥有名和利，使人不愿离开世俗的生活。我，是否也有舍不得的东西？
19:1 城门口是城中官员跟百姓讨论重要事情和交易的地方，也是有权势的人聚集的地方。天使在所多玛的城门口看见罗得，显然他在城中有一定的身分和地位，这也许是他舍不得离开所多玛的原因（参19:16, 18-22）。
罪能污染神子民的价值观，叫人对恶行麻木。我的心是否有被污染的危险？
19:8 父亲怎能只为了保护两个陌生人，而舍得将自己的女儿交给暴民去蹂□呢？这可能是罗得要救女儿和客人的计谋，他盼望女儿的未婚夫会来救她们，或者希望由于那些同性恋的男人对女子不感兴趣，索性走开。虽然不惜一切去保护客人是当时的习俗，但罗得这可怕的做法，反映出罗得的生命已被罪同化了。在罪恶的城市中，他对恶行已经麻木不仁，不再有任何感觉了。不管罗得的动机如何，我们在这里看到所多玛的可怕恶行，使神不得不将全城毁灭。
罪恶之城的结局，对我所身处的社会有何提醒？
19:13 神应许：如果所多玛城有十个义人的话，他也不毁灭那城（18:32）。神差遣天使去毁灭那城，表明那里连十个义人也没有。考古学的证据显示，那地方在亚伯拉罕的时代已经十分先进和文明，大多数研究人员也证实那地方曾突然遭到毁灭。现在，人们普遍认为这城已被埋在死海南端的海底下。所多玛的下场教导我们要信靠神，对付可憎的罪恶。
在别人的眼中，我与神子民的身分相称吗？
19:14 罗得在不敬虔的所多玛人中间生活太久，又安逸富足，不能再为神作可信的见证了。他容许环境来塑造自己，而没有尝试去改变环境。认识你的人是看见你为神作见证，还是看见你已经随波逐流了呢？向罪妥协的罗得对神来说几乎没有用了。他最后立定主意对抗罪恶，可是却没有一个人听他的。你是否也被身边的人同化以致神不能再用你呢？不想同流合污，我们就要在信心和行为上与众不同。
为世俗之乐所吸引，就会在向神委身的事上犹疑不决。我要犹疑到几时……
19:16 罗得仍然犹豫不决时，天使就拉著他的手，急急地带他逃离危险之地。罗得舍不得放弃在所多玛所享有的财富、地位和安适的生活。在对错选择很清楚的时候，我们很容易去指责罗得被所多玛迷惑。要避免重蹈罗得的覆辙就需明白，我们对顺服神的犹豫不决往往来自享乐的吸引。
最渴望谁得救，就要立即为他代求了……
19:16-29 我们看到神对亚伯拉罕的慈爱，恩及罗得和他一家。因亚伯拉罕为罗得代求，神在毁灭所多玛时，就对罗得施怜悯，拯救了他。义人常常会使别人得到益处。雅各说：“义人祈祷所发的力量是大有功效的。”（雅5:16）我们应当效法亚伯拉罕，为别人的得救祷告。
神的宽容与烈怒，让人深爱又敬畏他。在我心中，神是……
19:24 我们从神毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉的事上看出神性格的两方面：他有极大的耐性，他愿意为那城的十个义人，饶恕恶贯满盈的所多玛城；他也会大发烈怒，毁灭这两个城市。随著灵命的长进，我们就会因神对罪恶的烈怒，而更敬畏他；也会因他忍耐我们所犯的罪过，更深爱他。
舍不得离开──罗得的妻，是舍不得离开罪，还是──？我，也有甚么舍不得放下的？
19:26 罗得的妻子回头看那焚烧著的城市，对过去依依不舍，不愿意完全撇下。当你想更亲近神的时候，是否还在回头望，想留在罪中呢？不放弃旧的生命，我们跟神的关系就不会有甚么进展。耶稣说：“一个人不能事奉两个主。”（太6:24）

10. 首先应该清楚圣经指出罗得是义人（见彼后2：6－10）。值
得疑惑的是他和眷属为何要活在罪的氛围中。彼得后书的章
节可能显示罗得在那里是为神作“光”，但他非常接近与邪
恶一同被毁灭。过于接近罪恶总会带来不良的后果。
11. 随着罪（特别是性变态）的邪恶性质逐渐被完全暴露出来，
圣经展现了一幅悲剧的情景。
下面是对这一事件的综述：
a) 两位天使来到所多玛，看见罗得“坐在城门口”（可能
是这城的法官，因为城门口是商贸交接的地方）。罗得
向他们“下拜”说明他认出二人不是寻常人（19：1）。
b) 罗得邀请二人的家里作客并慷慨预备（19：2－3）。他
们勉强接受了邀请，为要证实这城市的邪恶。
c) 天使没待多久，所多玛城的人就到罗得家找他们，企图

13；士19章；利18：22，20：13；罗1：18－32；林
前6：9－10；提前1：8－11。这不是神所接受的生活

d) 罗得试图劝阻他们不要作这些不道德的行动，说：“众
弟兄请你们不要作这恶事”（19：5－7），却是枉然。
然后罗得居然提出，如果他们放过客人，就把还是处女
的女儿交给他们。罗得决定迎合当地不正当的好客风
俗，暗示他也被罪所欺骗了（19：8）。
e) 所多玛人拒绝了罗得的条件，说道：
“这个人来寄居，还想要作官哪！”（19：9）
然后他们试图抓住罗得，幸好天使及时搭救，并使所多
玛人眼瞎（19：10－11）。肉体的眼瞎反映了他们属灵
的眼瞎，使这些变态的罪人被属灵的黑暗所吞没。这是

12. 然后天使问罗得家里还有什么人并催促他们离开，说道：
“我们要毁灭这地方，因为城内罪恶的声音，在耶

罗得试图说服女婿离开，结果却是徒然（19：14）。天明了
（19：15），天使实际上是拽着罗得及妻子并他女儿的手，
把他们领出城外：
“但罗得迟疑不走。二人因为耶和华怜恤罗得，
就拉着他的手和他妻子的手，并他的两个女儿的
手，把他们领出来，安置在城外。”（19：16）

13. 天使的警告是：

让他能逃到那里而不去山上，天使也答应了这个请求。

灾祸临到我，我便死了。看哪！这座城又小又近，
容易逃到，这不是一个小的么？求你容我逃到那
里，我的性命就得存活。”（19：19－20）
14. 破晓时分，神将火的审判降临到罪恶的城市──
“当时，耶和华将硫磺与火，从天上耶和华那里，
降与所多玛和蛾摩拉，把那城和全平原，并城里
所有的居民，连地上生长的都毁灭了。”（19：
24－25）
神可能是使地下的硫磺沥青坑喷发灭掉那城，也可能是直接
从天降火。任何一种方式都能清楚表明神的信息。
15. 罗得之妻显然仍然眷恋所多玛的生活，因为她忍不住回头
看，于是“变成了一根盐柱”（19：26）。今天死海边仍然
有竖立的盐柱。耶稣在路加福音17：28－33藉此事件提醒

罗得没有被毁灭。
16. 亚伯拉罕看到平原升起的浓烟，知道神的审判已经临到（19：

19:26 [hgb] 罗得的妻子在后边回头一看、就变成了一根盐柱。

[kjv] But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
[bbe] But Lot's wife, looking back, became a pillar of salt.
19:27 [hgb] 亚伯拉罕清早起来、到了他从前站在耶和华面前的地方、
[lzz] 亚伯拉罕清早起来，在他前天站在永恒主面前的地方，
[kjv] And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
[bbe] And Abraham got up early in the morning and went to the place where he had been talking with the Lord:
19:28 [hgb] 向所多玛、和蛾摩拉、与平原的全地观看．不料、那地方烟气上腾、如同烧窑一般。
[lzz] 向所多玛蛾摩拉、那一片平原全地眺望观看，哎呀，那地方的烟气还往上冒，就像烧窑的烟气一般。
[kjv] And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
[bbe] And looking in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the lowland, he saw the smoke of the land going up like the smoke of an oven.
19:29 [hgb] 当 神毁灭平原诸城的时候、他记念亚伯拉罕、正在倾覆罗得所住之城的时候、就打发罗得从倾覆之中出来。
[lzz] 当上帝毁灭了那一片平原诸城的时候，上帝记起了亚伯拉罕来，当他覆灭了罗得所住之城的时候，他打发了罗得从覆灭之中出来。
[kjv] And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
[bbe] So it came about that when God sent destruction on the towns of the lowland, he kept his word to Abraham, and sent Lot safely away when he put an end to the towns where he was living.
