Euro-Robben unlikely to play a part against Russia Jun 21, 2:39 pm EDT Buzz Up PrintBy Mike Collett
BASEL, June 21 (Reuters) - Arjen Robben did not join his Dutch team mates in the warm-up for Saturday’s Euro 2008 quarter-final against Russia due to a niggling groin problem, coach Marco van Basten told Dutch TV station NOS.
Winger Robben missed their first Group C match against Italy because of the injury but came on as a substitute and scored against France in the second game before he was picked in the team for the 2-0 win over Romania last Tuesday.
“This is a blow. He won’t take any part in the match unless we need him in an emergency,” said Van Basten.
