2. hmm . lets see, yao ran a clinic on the most devestating center in the league?? well not necessarily a clinic but shaq couldn;t stop yaos little hook. lets face it , shaq is fat now, his days has passed. if he stays in the league , he will be like a hakeem(raptors -yes, he played for them) or like a ewing(magics- yea, he was there)

lets not give him an ext. he has no class. throws a tantrum when he doesn;t get what he wants, demands a ext??? hells no.. yelling at buss to give him his money after he makes a dunk??? hells no.

3. I was truly shocked last night! Yao was actually attacking Shaq! I don't remember anyone attacking him like this since Hakeem did in the mid 90s. Shaq looked passive at times and scared to back Yao in and pick up fouls, while Yao shot well and was aggressive all night long. Shaq is still the man in the middle in the NBA but teams are now attacking him and making him play D. Its time for Shaq and the Lakers to become the aggressors again and stop back peddling all game long...

5. Until Duncan actually lines up at C and plays there full-time, to me he is a PF and thus excluded in any discussion regarding Centers.

Regarding Yao. Can he better the best C in the NBA in 2 years? Sure, why not. By that time he'll be more experienced, more accustomed to the NBA and hopefully by then the Rockets will have him as the focal point of the offense and taking more than just 11 shots a game...... and Shaq will be 2yrs older, around 33-34 whereas Yao will be 25-26.

A.) Shaq is still superior to Yao.
B.) Yao has out rebounded Shaq through their 4 games thus far.
C.) Shaq has like 53 free throws in their contests (over those four games) and yao has like 15. Shaq has destroyed Yao in this aspect.
D.) Yao looked angry and motivated. Good for him! He really wanted it. If Yao starts playing like that consistantly its bad for everyone not being a rocket fan. Truly scary what he can be.
E.) A lot of Yao's points game off easy drop ins where Shaq was helping out a teammate. No one was rotating over to Yao when Shaq went to cut off a baseline. Although when you are 7'5, it doesn't matter when George or Fox rotate over.
F.) Yao is 3-1 vs. Shaq. Thats really what is important. That... and in year 2 Yao isn't scared of Shaq anymore.

8. What are you guys talking about does Shaq do anything but bull his way inside and dunk As far as Shaq getting 53 foulshots in the 4 game thats the way everone plays him

just watch the 4TH qr of that game it was close and Yao take over if he got as many shots as Shaq no telling what he could do

REMEMBER: This is only Yao's second year in the league and he's able to dominate Shaq, if Shaquille O'retard had a brain he would retire in a year or two 'cause if not there are going to be more embarrassing moments for him(shaq)!

To the Moderator- I agree with you in saying for a player shaq's size his mobility is superior then most, but that doesn't mean he is skilled in fundamental basketball. Shaq's dominance is only with his brute body, where as Jordan, Bird, Walton, Kareem, Magic, and Hakeem are not only incredible athletes, but mentally they are outstanding also. With Yao's finesse, mental game, and height it's obvious that Yao will surpass O'neal in a nick of time.

Want to know why ppl around the U.S. voted for Ming and not O'neal?! Isn't it obvious already, but fans are tired of O'neals 5ft hook shots and dunks? Isn't it obvious that O'neal has no class? Isn't it obvious that he has no respect for the game and it's officials? You don't disrespect the Commish man, don't matter who you are. O'neal isn't good for the league, he's a hater and a small time loser. Even Vlade Divac has more class then him. Athlete's today are overpaid and undereducated.

When O'neal first came in the league did he dominate Olajuwan or Ewing? NO! What about his 2nd year in the league? I don't think so...

10. And to validate his selection as starter, Yao comes out and beats Shaq fair and square. No dirty plays from Yao like Brad Miller and Vlade Divac. Yao is simply more popular now. Yao isn't better than Shaq, but regardless, few people like to watch Shaq and his atrocious game.

11.I'm sorry Laker Fans...I have no respect for Shaq. His comments after last night's game were ridiculous. Isn't he 30 something? How can a man of that age act so immature...last night was not the only example...recently he has been blurting out nonsense to the commish and the ref's. His reasoning??? I do not comprehend....he has no class OR sportsmanship....and this is why, most nba fans across AMERICA has chosen Yao to start over Shaq in the All-Star Game. .. (sigh)...this is why the NBA is so looked down upon...the media needs to turn its focus on players like Yao, Lebron, KG, Duncan, and other players with positive attitudes who are professionals.
