First Round: Steven Jackson. This was a happy suprise. Before the draft I thought he would go 2nd or maybe even 1st, as the trend in Yahoo! had indicated. But Z pointed out the fact that Doping liked Peyton Manning, which made me heop that Steven Jackson or LT could slip to me. Dream comes true Second round: I probably would have selected Chad Johsnon instead of Owens had I seen him still on board. Anyway, there is no reason for me to regret the pick, at least before the season starts. Hope he can stay away from injury and regain him form. Third Round: Antonio Gates has been on my radar all along. I just hoped that he was not gone earlier. It is almost a no-brainer for me as he is just so much better than other TEs Fourth Round: I probably would have considered one of those 2nd tier QBs had one of them been still on board. Unfortunately all of them were gone. I had to settle with the best player available to fortify my RB corp. Clinton Portis is not my favorite and I am very concerned with his injury history. But at the end of 4th round, it is worth the risk, I guess Fifth Round: Housh probably could have gone earlier. Getting him here is a surprise. With Chris Henry out the first 8 weeks, he should be able to get plenty of targets, especially in the red zone. Sixth Round: Again I did not expect Julius Jones would slip this low. Last season he was in Parcells dog house and hence Marion Barber III got all the goal line carries. Yet he was still the starting RB. Wade Philips is a differnet coach and Dallas's goalline situation is far from decided. If he can stay relatively injury free, he can be a monster. Seventh Round: The top three defense were gone by the time I was on board. San Diego has been my target and I believe they should post descent numbers throughout the season Eigth Round: The third 'Boys in my team, maybe a little too much. My plan was that if I could not get Brees or Bulger, I would settle with Rivers or Romo. Rivers was gone and I could not wait for another round to settle the QB situation. Romo may be throw as many TD as Kitna, but with the help of a good running game, he should have less pressure. Ninth Round: Many Fantasy experts predicted DeAngelo Williams would go as high as fourth round. So, I have nothing to complain about to get him here. The only concern is that Fox has the habit to stick with veterans. I am just hoping that Foster will be injured right out off the gates. Tenth Round: Jerry Porter is reported to have a very good camp. As the top receive and Culpepper as QB, I hope he can be serviceable sometimes, especailly with favorable matchups. Eleventh Round; Another Top receiver in a bad team. This is just to buy another insurance policy if any of my top receivers do not perform Tweleveth Round: There is no secret here. Jay Cutler is not good enough to be an every week starter. But he should be good in some matches. I am just hoping he can be good when Romo is on bye. Thirteenth Round: Kicker round for a lot of teams. Josh Brown is my pick |
