大家都知道邮票上有错版，可是钱币上也有错版。1943年一美分的林肯硬币，就是一例。

那一年，因为打仗，铜材奇缺，美国造币厂决定以铁代铜，发行当年的一美分林肯硬币，成为名副其实的钢镚儿：

可在当时忙中出错，有那么二十几枚硬币，是用前一年剩下的铜做的，并且流到了市场上，成为漏网之鱼，几年后才被发现，因此价格昂贵。

• This 3.11-gram copper-red coin is an example of one of the most popular coin mistakes in history. It consists of copper, tin, and zinc. These pennies were mistakenly struck in bronze in 1943. In the year 1947, a high school student found this coin in his pocket change. For the first time, this coin was sold in January 2019 by Heritage Auctions for $204,000. However, some reports state that, in 2013, Stack Bowers Galleries made $164,500 from another one of these bronze coins.
