昨天8.15，歐陸英國及一些美洲國家都是傳統宗教假“聖母升天日”，在某些國家和地區這天也是歷史傳統的母親節。這個視頻說的是法國大城市及朝聖地Lourdes的人民在時下的恐怖危機中釋放和平信息。短片最後顯示的宏偉教堂，就是幾周前殉難的老神父所在的主教區Rouen大教堂。其主殿淨高就達到28米、塔尖151米，主建築總長達144米（巴黎聖母院都只有127米長），是法國北部中世紀中後期及整個哥特時期大教堂建築的代表作。該地區中世紀高大建築遺產豐富，等有空再專門介紹：

這一天也是次大陸兩兄弟印度、巴基斯坦共同慶祝的獨立日。1947年的8月15日的子夜時分，當時還是統一的次大陸的領導人尼赫魯宣布印度人民從此站起來了。他的獨立演講《Tryst with destiny - 命運的約定》，被公認是20世紀最偉大的演講之一。以下視頻是其最膾炙人口的開首一段，他的印度口音我聽着很舒服啊呵呵！也可以看到老印自古在受盡壓迫的年代仍有關愛全人類的精神境界：
