There have been a number of American Heart Association affiliate mergers and changes in the peer review structure. See the new structure below.

Region I: (Meeting held in Boston)

Founders Affiliate (New York, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey)

Great Rivers (Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Delaware)

Region II: (Meeting held in Tampa)

Mid-Atlantic (Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and District of Columbia)

Greater Southeast (Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida and Puerto Rico)

These mergers mean we’ll need more reviewers for the committees and we are contacting all previous funded awardees. If you are interested in serving on one of our study sections, please complete the attached Science Classification ???? and send me your CV. Reviewers are asked to serve 2 – 4 years and review one time per year, in the spring. If you are unable to serve but have a colleague that might be interested in serving on one of the study sections, please forward this message to them.

The next step is for the Chairs and Co-Chairs to choose their members based on areas of expertise, geography, gender and academic position.
