my complaint about TeaHousePPL
送交者: 唯一 2009年10月21日09:10:38 于 [茗香茶语] 发送悄悄话

Parts of what follows below were actually painful to write. However, because of the ongoing misinformation campaigns launched by tea house and its coadjutors I feel it is my duty to write this. Without going into all the gory details, let's just say that tea house's perspective is that a book of its writings would be a good addition to the Bible. My perspective, in contrast, is that if you think you can escape from tea house's violent scribblings, then good-bye and good luck. To the rest of you I suggest that it would not hesitate to leave a generation of people planted in the mud of an irrational world to begin a new life in the shadows of adversarialism if it felt it could benefit from doing so. Nevertheless, tea house keeps trying to deceive us into thinking that everyone with a different set of beliefs from its is going to get a one-way ticket to Hell. The purpose of this deception may be to sacrifice our essential liberties on the altar of political horse-trading. Or maybe the purpose is to contaminate clear thinking with tea house's witless, self-righteous hijinks. Oh what a tangled web tea house weaves when first it practices to deceive.

Tea house does not merely engage in an endless round of finger pointing. It does so consciously, deliberately, willfully, and methodically. In a tacit concession of defeat, tea house is now openly calling for the abridgment of various freedoms to accomplish coercively what its superstitious convictions have failed at. There are some simple truths in this world. First, tea house often uses the phrase, "Studies show that...", to introduce statements that wind up being chiefly about ideology, hunch, or preference. Second, the crux of the issue is that we have a right and an obligation to take off the kid gloves and vent some real anger at tea house and encourage others to do the same. And finally, tea house keeps saying that going through the motions of working is the same as working. Isn't that claim getting a little shopworn? I mean, it uses the word "cinematographical" without ever having taken the time to look it up in the dictionary. Organizations that are too lazy to get their basic terms right should be ignored, not debated.

Debate with tea house or a search for common ground is both a fruitless exercise and a suicidal strategy. Likewise, if you ever ask tea house to do something, you can bet that your request will get lost in the shuffle, unaddressed, ignored, and rebuffed. Doesn't it strike you as odd that tea house engages in pietistic babble that nauseates even some of my more religious friends? Tea house's objective is clear: to clear-cut ancient forest lands sooner or later. If there's an untold story here, it's that tea house believes that it is everyone's obligation to remove society's moral barriers and allow perversion to prosper. That view is anathema to the cause of liberty. If it is not loudly refuted our future will be dire indeed. Now that this letter has come to an end, I decidedly hope you walk away from it realizing that I am interested in facts, not in paregoric for tea house's agents provocateurs.

your truly
