Democratic Congresswomen should "go back" to their countries

On July 14, 2019, President Trump tweeted that four Democratic congresswomen of color including Omar should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough."[148][149] In response, Omar said Trump was "stoking white nationalism" because he was "angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda."[149] On July 17 it was reported that the federal agency U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lists the phrase "Go back to where you came from" as an example of "harassment based on national origin".[150]
