說起華盛頓州的首府西雅圖，那是不眠之夜。有兩個亞洲博物館，一個是位於唐人街國際區的陸榮昌博物館（Wing Luke Museum)，一個是位於義工公園（Volunteer Park）之內的亞洲藝術博物館（Seattle Asian Art Museum）。兩個博物館都立意高遠，有國際視野。

陸榮昌博物館又稱為永祿克博物館，建立於1967年，是為了紀念英年早逝的西雅圖市議員陸榮昌（Wing Chong Luke，1925-1965）。他出生於1925年，是華人洗衣店老闆的兒子。

陸榮昌6歲從廣東移民至西雅圖，37歲成為西雅圖市議員，是第一個在太平洋西北地區被選為議員的亞洲人。

陸榮昌亞洲博物館展覽的一些圖片和實物，和其他華美博物館並無二至，只是名字好聽一些，加上講解和導遊，因此好評如潮。

• I took a walking tour through the museum where we learned about the early days of the Asian Pacific American who came to this country for a better life. There is so much focus on Ellis Island that we forget about the west coast of our country! The museum is housed in a historic building that still has some of the original hotel rooms. I was amazed at how humbling an experience was for many of our early immigrants. There is also the original store front with the original set up of how the store was for many years. A huge highlight was the part of the museum with Bruce Lee's exhibits. This was very emotional and full of love. This was the only area that the museum requested no photos out of respect for the family and I did not photograph that area. If you visit Seattle this is a great place to visit for pieces of history.

座落在郊區小樹林裡的西雅圖亞洲藝術博物館（地址：1400 E Prospect St，Seattle，WA 98112。周三、五、六、日10:00-17:00，周四10:00-21:00；周一、二閉館。門票：成人7美元），是一個真正的藝術博物館，前身是西雅圖藝術博物館，等藝術博物館搬進市中心，亞洲藝術博物館就鳩占鵲巢了。博物館中的藏品數量雖然沒有舊金山和華盛頓哥倫比亞特區的亞洲藝術博物館規模大，但是質量上仍然可觀。劉曉波所謂亞洲人需要西方人殖民統治，等人家建好了，再來接收，如印度、如日本、如台灣、如香港、也不是沒有道理。

• 1931年經濟蕭條的高峰，美國收藏家富勒與母親捐出25萬美元讓建築師Carl Frelinghuysen Gould在西雅圖設計了一棟藝術博物館，不僅創造了許多就業機會，還為市民提供了一座引以為傲的藝術博物館。今天，博物館已擴張到三個不同地點，然而富勒母子最鍾愛的亞洲藝術收藏依舊保留在原址。
