4. There are several points we need to clarify here.

A.

(1)醫學學士 never equal to M.D.from US.

醫學博士 never equal to M.D.from US. Even if you got it from 協和.

The education from these two countries is never equal.

(2).US authorities tightly govern physicians. Don't compare any other career with physician. You would bring too much bias in.

(3).It is this country's rule to xxxxuate international medical graduates and subsequently certify them, give them the same physician status under this country's laws and regulations. The common practice derived from those regulations is: call all physicians doctor and M.D.. And it is the Americans who are doing that. Nobody forces them to do that. We came to this land from China as Chinese Nationals.The only reasonable thing we can do is to follow the tradition.

(4). Please remember the M.D. is always the equivalent.

But it doesn't mean that you have to identify that in every situation, especially when eveybody in this country knows that and accepts that.

(5). Please remember this is an immigrant country. Immigrant with foreign country backgroud is welcome officially.Integrate immigrant with foreign education is always critical part of this country.Apparetly,it is this country's law to recognize most country's medical education, and give their physicians same status once certain criteria are met. And these foreign physicians is integrated into this country and serving this country. And this country is benefiting from this.

Based on my understanding, once the equivalency is recognized by the law, any xxxx discrimination out of the law voilates this country's Constitution.If you call a licensed whatimg MB, not MD, in public, probably you are discriminatng him. There is such possibility that you might be sued, if you are rich like Bill Gates.

Please remember this is USA, not China.

(5).I believe New York state confers Doctor of Medicine to licensed whatimg physician is trying to maintain the equivalence and same status.

(6). I don't see the possibility that any whatimg intentionally wrote he got a US Doctor of Medicne or from his own country for any xxxxal purpose. At most, xxxx an xxxxuation from US institution recognized by law to prove the equivalency. For ECFMG, that is a redundancy. And if you claim you have a US MD or from your own country like China, you would never be certified.

As I know several years ago from the official publication of ECFMG, only five year medical education and the Bachelor of Medicine is recognized for the certificate. The eight year and Doctor of Medicine is not, especially if you don't have a bachelor degree. Maybe things changed now. Or maybe the ECFMG is flexible at this because 協和 is the best medical institution in China.

Conclusion for A: I don't see any ground that Chinese licensed physician is cheating or faking degree.

We came to this country for a better life. For our medical graduates, we are thrilled to find a way from noway to have a good career and serve chinese and american in this country. To achieve the ultimate goal, we need to overcome so many barriers.The difficulty of the process is hard to imagine for outsider.Our fellow chinese not support us, but come here to attack us for nothing ......

That is out of bond.

Insulting is out of law in the US and Canada.

B. Lets take a story.

Superman Zhang got a Doctor of Computer Science from Tshing Hua. He spent 4 undergrate years, 3 master years and 3 Doctor years. Now he is in the States. And he calls himself Supernam Zhang, Ph.D.. Everybody calls him Dr. Zhang.

He is outraged that his friend Littleman Liu from Capital medical college with only bachelor of Medicine is being called doctor and M.D. by Americans.

Let pinpoint several things in this story:

(1). He must feel very bad that in the States, you can get a master of science majoring in the computer science even if your undergraduate major is finance. And it is quite reasonable to get a Ph.D degree within four years after the undergraduate.

(2).When his education is xxxxuated, it is still equivalent to Doctor of Philosophy in computer science. Nothing more.

(3).Since he got his education from China, his degree in many circumstances is still required to be xxxxuated by some institution.

(4).Since the government is not interested in creating law and regulation to govern those computer science doctors and nobody bothers to think about that, most of time, the Americans xxxxuate the education inxxxxally to be equivalent to Doctor of Philosophy major in Computer Science.

(5). Since the common practice is to recognize the equivalency,nobody questions that including our MB from China, though he is not certified by anybody in this country or pass any equivalency tests governed by law.

(6).Superman Zhang is very comfortable to put his tilte as superman Zhang, Ph.D. and at the same time, attacks Littleman Liu with cheating and a faked MD.

(7). Littleman Liu is not happy with that and attacks back.

(a). Dr. Zhang's degree in china is called Doctor of compute science.(hope I am right. I am not sure. But only try to make a point here.). Not Doctor of Philosophy. Although you can translate 博士 into Doctor, it is impossible to translate computer science to Philosophy. So, by Dr. Zhang's logics, he is cheating, too.

(b). Even if Dr. Zhang's degree is the same as the US one by translation, they are still not the same degree. The difference is unimaginablely big since the education happens in two different countries. The degrees by translation are same or not doesn't matter. By Dr. zhang's logics, Dr.zhang still can't use Ph.D. as his title even if his degree is xxxxuated to be equivalent.

(c).So,the ways to solve this is either to use DCS(Doctor of Computer Science) or simply put chinese for the degree title after his name.

Conclusion for B: two different countries, everything is different. The methods to xxxxuate something that is similar is xxxxuation from authorized xxxxuation instituions or equivalency exams. Once the equivalency is acquired, it is up to the Americans for the title.
