by Jeremy Schnitker Northwestern University neurologists Dr. Yi Rao and Dr. Jane Wu bought a four-bedroom, 3.1-bath at 2436 N. Burling on Mar. 1 for $1.41 million from Collin and Liliana Roche. The Roches paid $1,245 million for the home, near the corner of Burling and Wrightwood, in April 2003. Coldwell Banker's Elizabeth Ballis brokered the sale with a list price of $1.495 million. Rao and Wu both work in the neurology department at Northwestern. A UC-San Francisco PhD, Rao previously was on the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis. Wu graduated from Stanford. A Harvard M.B.A, Mr. Roche, 34, is a principal at GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a private equity firm located headquartered in the Sears Tower. He joined the firm in 1996 after stints as an associate at Everen Securities in Chicago and with Goldman, Sachs in New York City, where he was an analyst. He has a B.A. from from Williams College. In May 2005, the Roches paid $4 million for a Winnetka home at 718 Park Dr. They also own property at 6660 Audubon Rd. in Holland, Mich. and in Marco Island, Fla. Address: 2436 N. Burling
