If you knew that Chen Zhu's scientific presentation was scheduled much earlier than his new position as the minister, I guess you would not make this lengthy comments. Of course, it is reasonable to expect that from now on Chen Zhu will be taking full responsibility for his new position with little involvement in his own scientific research.

I think we should be proud to see more real scientists get involved in top administration and policy decision. It is easy to criticize everything in China but it would do little help, especially if the criticism was not based on the facts.
