一个朋友送来一个Email。谈到一个简易的方法诊断中风(stroke)。

如果某人有突然摔到、头晕等与中风有关的轻微病症，可以
这样加以判断是否中风：

（1）。让其笑一下；
（2）。让其把两臂抬起；
（3）。让其连贯地说个简单的语句，象是，“今天天气真好”。

如果此人在这三件事中任何一件事上有困难，赶快打电话叫急救。
告知此人症状，怀疑是中风。如果中风病人在三小时里被诊断正
确并被神经学医生治疗，病人治好中风病的可能性及大。

这个方法据说挺有效果。

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:

Just remember the "3" steps. Read and Learn!

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

1. Ask the individual to SMILE.

2. Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

3. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (e.g.. "It is sunny out today").

If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
