【注】费城在12月13—14日的暴风雪后迅速成为美东走廊降雪量最大的城市，而我们所在的周边地区更以8英寸/20公分的降雪量高居榜首。因为周一要回宾州洗牙，纽约仔于周六大雪前夜赶回了家。星期天下午懒觉乍醒，他顺手抄起铁锨，一点一点地开始清雪工程，没干多久只见隔了三道门的邻居走上来主动请缨，说时迟那时快，有除雪机强打头阵，车道、前院人行道、房前石板路很快被清理干净。结束时，纽约仔本想略表酬谢之意，未料这位年近古稀的雪天使话匣子大开，甚至引用《圣经》不求回报助人为乐的经文，他愿凭信仰行善，活出上帝的诫命。
