On June 23, Trump visited Yuma, Arizona, for a campaign rally commemorating the completion of 200 miles (320 km).[161] U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed that almost all of this was replacement fencing, but that the fencing replaced was outdated or dilapidated.[162][163] By September 25, 2020, 321 miles of barrier had been constructed during the Trump presidency.[164] According to CBP, 452 miles (727 km) had been built by January 5, 2021, reaching the goal of 450 miles total by the end of the year 2020.[7][8][165][166] So far, all but 47 miles of the construction has replaced old or broken barriers.[7]
