        The President ordains the bee to be

        Immortal. The President ordains. But does

        The body lift its heavy wing, take up,

        Why should the bee recapture a lost blague,

        Find a deep echo in a horn and buzz

        The bottomless trophy, new hornsman after old?

            總統主宰蜜蜂

            長生不老。總統頒發命令。但是否

            肌體張開沉重的翅膀，舉起，

            再一次，不知疲倦的傢伙，升騰

            超越最驕傲的對手

            招使蒼白的詞語嗡嗡作響？

            為什麼蜜蜂要重溫失落的玩笑，

            從號角中找到強烈回音並旋繞

            深不見底的戰利品，新老號手交替？

            總統把蘋果擺置桌上

            叫赤腳僕人圍聚身邊，將

            窗簾調到完美極致的t

            讓民族的旗幟飄揚，並閃現

            在紅藍耀眼的旗杆上，敲打

            升降吊索。為什麼，既然如此，黃金怒火中

            春天帶走了冬天的殘跡，為什麼

            總有再次回歸的可能或者

            記憶夢境的死亡？難道春天就是睡了一覺？

            這份溫暖只為有情人終成

            眷屬，由此開始，而不是重新來過，這段

            吟唱與新來的蜜蜂和鳴。

【注】和平使者上鎮地處我家西邊，大約相距40多分鐘的車程，跟我去東南角的費城所花的功夫差不多，但遠離都市的鄉間村落“浮雲堆白玉，落日瀉黃金”，足以讓人享受田野與蒼天之間的逍遙。

和平使者上鎮是賓州德國移民最老的社區之一。自1967年以來，每年八月的第二個周末星期五和星期六兩天這裡都要舉行富足之地民俗節(Goschenhoppen Folk Festival)，藉之推廣其民族的物質文化、民間信仰、日常起居以及生活習俗。本來我只想瀏覽一下建於1736年的水流族殖民式建築——掌門者·花之家(Henry Antes Moravian Settlement House)，卻意外地趕上了民俗節收尾清理，主辦方偶遇今天像我這樣頭頂烈日專程前來打卡的忠粉驚訝不已，不僅網開一面讓我隨意參觀，並且還要通知我每月的歷史文化專題討論進展，而我眼下當務之急則是好好體驗舊時的精彩。Experience Yesterday Today!
