為什麼兩處的記載不盡相同呢？　

〔王上4：26〕“所羅門有套車的馬四萬，還有馬兵一萬二千。”
〔代下9：25〕“所羅門有套車的馬四千棚，有馬兵一萬二千。”

有兩個可能的解釋：
１）NIV版的英文，　都是說有４千stalls.　在1Kings 4:26中有註解說，某些古卷里是４萬。在KJV的聖經里，採用的是四萬馬。可能是歷代以來翻譯抄寫之誤。

NIV版的英文
1Kings 4:26 Solomon had four thousand stalls for chariot horses, and twelve thousand horses.

2 Chronicles 9 : 25 Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horses, which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.

KJV的聖經：
1Kings 4:26　And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

2 Chronicles 9 :25 25And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

２）如果1Kings 4:26　譯做４萬stalls，後面的詞與代下不同.　在王上記載的是拉車用的馬有４萬棚。　代下記載的是（馬和馬車）有４千棚，是在安 置 在 屯 車 的 城 邑 和 耶 路 撒 冷。所以是指不同的東西。　另外，也可能在王上記載的是另外地方的馬棚。
