How did Moses suffer for the sake of Christ?
Moses did not suffer on behalf of Christ, but in a Christ-like way. His suffering was seen as an example of the coming Christ, who later suffered on behalf of God's people. Since Christ literally means Anointed One, the idea could be that Moses accepted the stigma that comes with being chosen by God---just as Jesus did centuries later.
