英譯《春望.杜甫》

火風鼎

國破山河在，城春草木深。

感時花濺淚，恨別鳥驚心。

烽火連三月，家書抵萬金。

白頭搔更短，渾欲不勝簪。

Torn apart， my homeland finds the same mountains and rivers over there remain;

With a panoramic view of capital city， Spring sees woods lush and grass exuberant.

Rolling off flowers， dew drops splatter like tears as if they know the current affairs,

hating to part with their lovely ones birds’ hearts are also teemed with tender cares.

Smoke from watch tower torches on alert has lasted for three consecutive months long,

Home-bound letters are so dear that they are worth pure gold of ten thousand ton!

The more I scratch my grey and wispy haired head, the thinner and shorter my hairs look,

Virtually after all these war time hardship the hairpins can’t firmly onto my hairs hook!
