关于神秘主义，林慈信牧师是这样说的：

神秘主义乃是指不用理性、超越理性，不用感情、超越感性，只用直觉，直接去跟耶稣、父神交通。

奥秘乃是经过我们的理性去思考真理，也用感情去回应，把意志降服下来，委身给主。经过这些之后，还有一些是我们不明白的，就叫奥秘。

基督徒的信仰一定有奥秘，但是我们不要作神秘主义者。

这首诗歌怎么样形容基督徒与耶稣的关系？不只是诗歌好不好听，活泼不活泼，押韵押得好不好？究竟这首诗歌在讲什么？

第二节说 More of His saving fullness see。

我们这几天在讲“在基督里”，在“约”里，也就是说神所为我们设计的，我们与神的关系。

在基督里有很丰富的恩典：罪得赦免，得称为义、做神的儿女、得救的确据、清洁的良心、主永远的同在、患难的时候祂与我们同行等等；未来的盼望，祂是王，祂坐在宝座上很荣耀。

这里说，More of His saving fullness see，更深体会救恩完备。

当你唱到这里，救恩完备，你只是想到我的罪得赦免，得永生吗？还是有其他这些？圣灵是使我们与基督联结的（The Holy Spirit unite us with Jesus Christ），圣灵是那位把我们放在“在基督里”的那位。

那么，“在基督里”有什么东西？各种各样的恩典。

第二节，More about Jesus let me learn, More of His holy will discern，
求圣灵教导我去查验耶稣的旨意。

第三节，More about Jesus in His Word,Holding communion with my Lord；
藉着圣经愿我体验耶稣，听主声音与主相交。

研读圣经和与主亲近是一件事情的两面。这两件事情同时摆在第三节第一行是有意思的，也就是说，我们与主的交通不是神秘主义（mysticism），是藉着我们在圣经里面看到祂的荣美，我们又更加地追求进入到与祂的交通。

Hearing His voice in every line, Making each faithful saying mine. （愿每一句可靠的圣经都成为我的）每一字句我们都愿意领受，更认定祂的应许可靠。

More about Jesus; on His throne, 愿我更体验那位坐在宝座上的耶稣，Riches in glory all His own; 祂所拥有的一切荣耀是何等丰富。

More of His kingdom’s sure increase，我们愿看见你的国度愈来愈扩张，More of His coming, Prince of Peace，我们愿意多认识这位和平之君，与祂的在来。

所以，每个作者不同，但是他们都会看见耶稣与我们的关系，不只是单面的，是很丰富的。有祂的话，有祂的权柄，祂的荣耀、祂的应许，祂的旨意，这一切都是因为我们在祂里面。
