At least from a practical aspect, what do you expect people to do to this end? Do we merely wait for salvation since the destiny has already been set?

I would think we should have a critical view to many of the conclusions drawn in the past and accomplish our faith through our own understanding. Ultimately, faith is what matters in the end.
