if the market moves against you? Let's say if tomorrow S&P drops to 850, would you cut loss? I used to be obsessed with writing short dated options. But now volatility is so high, even record high premiums may not be enough to compensate the risk you are taking. Nov SPY 85 put sells for about $3. So if the market drops below 820, you will lose. It's highly unlikely in a normal market but now it's anything but normal. It's probably a good trade but I'm too chicken to do it. :-)
