After all, child abuse is not a thing that the majority of parents do, and it's not the thing hidden behind or under the umbrella of 孝道, and being protected by the umbrella.
We need to raise our awareness of the reality about child abuse and work on prevention of child abuse. However, that does not mean we should abolish the tradition of respecting parents.
