I thought Prof. Rao is better than this.
I am not sure if China changed him, or he has been this type of person all along. "中国的学术圈一直就有勾结、内斗和不把主要精力放在学术研究上的“光荣传统”，谁要是想把美国制度、竞争机制引入进来，有多少既得利益者会阻挠反对，可想而知---" ?
