Why Harvard is so powerful brand? First and xxxxost, in my humble opinion, it is the leader in academic standards and ethics, and in fact is the model of most of other universities in USA and in other countries. That is, many other universities in USA, like Modonald stores, are just copied from its original models. Secondly, as HBS mission statement says: We educate leaders, who will make a difference. Harvard provides many leaders for other universities, industry and government.

立德立言乃立功之本。北大及田剛 should be the professional ethic leader or model for all other universities and scholars in China, which is the most important problem in China. But it seems they only lead in academic and ethical corruption. 北大is often call Harvard in China, but as far as I can see they are not comaprable according to their contributions to their countries.
